Meet Johanny
Education
Johanny will always make education a top priority and will continue to work with local community leaders, parents, teachers to address Reading, PA’s most pressing issues in education. Johanny will:
– Investing resources into the district’s schools to close the digital divide.
– Increase school funding for student support services such as tutoring, social-emotional learning, mental-health supports, after-school programs and more.
– Prepare students for good-paying jobs by expanding access to internships, apprenticeships, and other career supports.
Increasing the Minimum Wage:
Johanny wholeheartedly believes that every Pennsylanvian has the right to lead a healthy life and earn a livable wage. Johanny will fight to increase the minimum wage and will invest in infrastructure to attract more high-paying jobs to the district.
Small Business
As a small business owner, Johanny understands the challenges that many small business owners faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to fight for economic funding opportunities for small business-owners, small business mentorship networking and mentorship opportunities.
